It is with a sad heart that I post the passing of Tom KA7W.  RIP Tom.

I was first licensed in 1951 as a Novice with the call sign of WN5ARI... Later I upgraded to W5ARI. Then I went through the following calls. WA6DWE (do we enlist), WB7AEF (After Every Female), KA7W (Kissing All 7 Women). I have been pretty active all those years, missed a few months due to some work projects when I was younger. I have always been interested in both voice and CW.. And when Digital stuff came along, I jumped in both feet and still enjoy it. I have had a variety of radio's over the years. And for the most part I have been lucky enough to afford the latest technology radios... You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I don't have an attitude problem, you have a perception problem.

Here is a recording of me checking my audio again and after the 10th time, Tom W5QI is still gracious. Thanks Matt W5MIX for sending me this.

This news grieves me. Tom welcomed me as a new no-code general class onto the HF bands and patiently elmered me through keeping my boat anchor on the air and on-frequency, sold me his old IC-738 when I was ready for a more modern radio, and sold me a darn decent Swan MK II linear amplifier which I still have. I will always have fond memories of following his road trips to Oregon on the air, the inside jokes, and the great rag chews. What a great friend, I will miss the "Golden Voice of Hamlin."
I love me a shiny motorcycle, as long as it's not MY shiny motorcycle....
